There's no day like Prime Day to save on an Amazon Fire TV device!

Prime Day always brings the best pricing of the year to Amazon's own hardware, including its first-party Fire TV streaming devices and third-party devices with Fire TV integration. Normally, Fire TV streamers retail from $50-$400, but we're seeing discounts of as much as $100 off or more on some of these devices. Those prices are so good that it's worth another for your home or a friend or family member!

These tend to sell very well, and certain sizes and configurations are likely to sell out during Prime Day. If you are interested in securing one for yourself, be sure to get your order in now!

From $30 at Amazon

It's finally here! After a few delays, the Prime Day deals are finally flowing, and you may be considering a few purchases to make. One of the most popular items to be purchased on Prime Day year after year is the Fire TV Stick line of smart TV streaming devices, and you may be considering buying one for yourself this time around. Whether you already have Fire TV devices or are finally looking to get your first one, you might be wondering whether or not Prime Day is a good time to buy a Fire TV device.

We suspect that the various Fire TV Stick devices will fly off the virtual shelves, and the new Fire TV Stick Lite is likely to be particularly popular. It is already very competitively priced at just $30, so while it may not see significant discounts, be sure to look for bundles (like the ones below) or BOGO (by one, get one) promotions. The new streamer can output video in HD, support Dolby Atmos audio, and come with a version of the supremely useful Alexa Voice Remote.

If you're a cord-cutter like me, you may want to invest in a digital TV antenna and pick up a Fire TV Recast box. This nifty device lets you record over the air content and save it to a DVR for later viewing. Then you can ask Alexa to pull up your recordings or access them on any other Fire TV product or device with a Fire TV app.

Finally, if you're interested in replacing your existing TV with an all-in-one smart TV solution, we can't recommend the Fire TV Edition TVs from Insignia and Toshiba. These are available in sizes from 24-inches up to 65-inches, and from 720p to 4K UHD. They all run Fire TV OS and come with the awesome Alexa Voice Remote capable of controlling the TV's basic functionality.

With Black Friday right around the corner, we understand the hesitation, but we fully recommend buying a Fire TV device on Prime Day. There are a few reasons for this, so let's take a look at them.

Prime Day is the best time to buy any Amazon device

Historically, Amazon has always put its own devices front and center of all the discounts. It's usually the best time of the year to pick up any of its hardware, including Echo smart speakers and Echo Show devices, Fire tablet and Fire TV devices, and Kindles. Usually, Amazon drops the price to the lowest its been for the year during Prime Day, which means that it's a great time to buy one.

Look for Fire TV bundles to save more

While Amazon is discounting its devices by themselves for Prime Day, you may find even better deals by looking at the bundles that are being offered instead.

For example, right now, you can score Fire TV Stick Lite with new Echo Dot (4th Gen) for just $80.

If you prefer an improved picture experience with your bundle, then you may want to spend an extra $10 and get the Fire TV Stick 4K with new Echo Dot (4th Gen) for $90.

Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite (2020)

$30 at Amazon

The Fire TV Stick Lite is a low-cost streaming stick with Alexa Voice Remote, HD quality video, and Dolby Atmos audio access.

Amazon Fire Recast

$230 at Amazon

The Fire TV Recast is an excellent way for cord-cutters to record live TV from local stations and watch it at their leisure. You can rewatch on your Fire TV or in the Fire TV app on your smartphone or tablet.

Amazon Fire TV Edition — Insignia 43-inch 4K UHD TV

$200 at Amazon

This is the smallest 4K Fire TV Edition that you can buy, so if you don't have a lot of space to work with, but you still want the best picture quality possible, you need to pounce on this deal to save $100!

Amazon Fire TV Edition — Toshiba 55-inch 4K UHD TV

$300 at Amazon

This is as big as the Toshiba Fire TV Edition sets come right now, and about as low as we've ever seen them priced — even lower than the Toshiba 50-inch. Don't miss this deal!

Black Friday pricing isn't likely to be lower than this

With Black Friday just a few short weeks away, it's unlikely that Amazon will beat this pricing during the holiday shopping season. Historically, Amazon has matched the pricing during Black Friday, but if product availability is as light on Black Friday as it has been for the rest of this year, it's unlikely we see Amazon attempt to beat the price if they even match it then.

Overall, we think that the time to buy a Fire TV device is right now. Be sure to check out the rest of the deals now to see what else is worth buying on Prime Day 2020!
